Extraterrestrials: our next-door neighbors

Those that say Humans are the only living thing in the universe are dead wrong and sycophantic. Out of all the space in the univrse, millions of light years across, we just happen to be the only thing that can bash rocks together? Highly unlikely.
There are many depictions of alien in popular media, such as the grays and little green men from mars. However, these are more of a stereotype than anything. Life develops based on the planet and environment it's in: assuming every sentient thing in the universe will look like us is a fallacy. I have personally seen an alien myself: a white rectangular beast with a snide face which hung from a tentacle attached to the ceiling. My friend saw it too, but he said it was "a prank he was pulling on me" and that it was "just a bar of soap he carved a face into." I know better.
Extraterrestrials have visited earth in the past: Roswell, New Mexico is a place where an extraterrestrial ship crashed. People say that Area 51 is where the United States keeps their extraterrestrial and anomalous tech, but that's too easy. If a government had a location with hi-tech alien craft, why would they even let the name get out? I believe that the actual tech (or a secret govt program) is held at the Denver International airport. There have been numerous reports of unmarked planes arriving in the middle of the night, not to mention the weird murals present (I know I'm being jokey with this website but this part is actually real, look it up. It's scary).
Extraterrestrials are assumed to have been involved with ancient. A common example, perpetuated by the hacks at Ancient Aliens, is that Extraterrestrials assisted the ancient Egyptians with building the pyramid. Although plausible, studies have been done to prove it could be done by humans at that time period.
